Title: Coupling and strong coupling of light emitters with plasmons

Abstract
 
In this talk I will present two different aspects of the interaction of light emitters with plasmons[1]. I will start with a dense molecular system in the strong coupling regime with a propagative surface plasmon polariton, and discuss the influence of molecular organization on the coupling strength.
In a second part I’ll show the influence of a localized plasmon supported by a single gold nanocone on the fluorescence of a single colloidal quantum dot [2]. The controlled position of the quantum dot over the nanocone allows us to get a deep understanding in the photophysics of the dot.
